A sudden addition to the Wigmore Hall calendar today is Roscoe Mitchell on 28 June.

Master saxophonist Roscoe Mitchell has been one of the defining voices in contemporary improvisation for over 50 years, having founded the celebrated Art Ensemble of Chicago in 1967. As part of a major three-night UK residency this June (*), in partnership with London Contemporary Music Festival and the Serpentine Galleries, Wigmore Hall presents Roscoe Mitchell alongside special guests, in a programme that will showcase the full versatility of one of America’s greatest living composer-performers.” QUOTE ENDS
