Take 6, Sheila Jordan and Steve Kuhn are announced as part of the PizzaExpress Live line-up at this year’s EFG London Jazz Festival
- PizzaExpress Live is proudly part of the EFG London Jazz Festival, taking place 11-20 November
- All three PizzaExpress Live locations will host a record number of shows, totalling 50 over the ten days, including a string of free lunchtime shows exclusively for the festival

The annual EFG London Jazz Festival is back for 2022, taking place between 11-20 November. Today, PizzaExpress is proud to announce more than 50 incredible shows across its three iconic live music venues – Soho, Holborn and Chelsea.
Kicking things off in Soho on 11 November will be the iconic jazz star, Sheila Jordan, who will be performing with the Ray Gallon Trio. Sheila has shared the stage with Charlie Parker and was the first female recording artist on the renowned Blue Note label. Described by Scott Yanow as “one of the most consistently creative of all jazz singers”, Sheila Jordan will return to the PizzaExpress Jazz Club, Soho one week shy of her 94th birthday.
The Soho Jazz Club will also present a rare UK show from jazz legend Steve Kuhn on 13 November. Steve is known for his work with the likes of John Coltrane and Stan Getz as well as being a flawless band leader in his own right.
Over at Holborn on the 16-17 November 10x Grammy winners Take 6 have been announced. The renowned a cappella sextet integrates jazz with spiritual and inspirational lyrics and have worked with the likes of Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Quincy Jones and Ella Fitzgerald among many others.
19 November will be a celebration of genre giants Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn with two brand new shows from UK jazz superstars Ian Shaw and Tony Kofi, in Holborn.
Catherine Russell, daughter of 1930’s band leader Luis Russell, will close the festival in Soho on 20 November, with Elaine Delmar, daughter of Jamaican trumpeter Leslie ‘Jiver’ Hutchinson, taking to the Holborn stage with an incredible 16-piece band on the same evening.
In addition to the above, and exclusively for the EFG London Jazz Festival, PizzaExpress Jazz club will host five free entry lunch shows from Monday 14 to Friday 18 November as part of its ‘Heads Up’ series. The series continues to present the next generation of jazz and neo-soul stars, including Amy Gadiaga, Chiminyo, Allexa Nava, Sofia Grant and Andee Liu Trio with Roella Oloro in the line-up.
