As part of its preparations for welcoming the worldwide jazz community back to Bremen this year, jazzahead! (28 April – 1 May) has already let it be known that there will be a lot more space for the event.
This morning the organizers have given the first artist’s impression of a new location, the ‘Zirkuszelt’, a big top or marquee which will be known in English by the literal translation of ‘Circus Tent’:
jazzahead! has announced today: “Extra programming and a new concert stage – from this year, a circus tent will expand the event area of jazzahead! and offer more space for concerts, meet & greets as well as the broadcast of some of the showcase concerts on the big screen.
“The music programme for the new live stage will be curated by jazzahead! and published shortly. There will also be a food court. Good music, good food and good conversation with genuine festival flair. Access for participants at jazzahead! is included in the registration fee.”
It has also been announced this week that the second “Deutscher Jazzpreis” will be held in Bremen on 27 April, the eve of the opening of the fair. (Link to German Press Release)
