The fact that there was no stand for the UK at jazzahead! in 2023 was much commented on. Yes, there was a Scottish stand run by Creative Scotland (and there will be one again in 2024), and many UK participants, but no focal point for the UK as a whole.
The team at jazzahead! have addressed this for 2024, and invited London Jazz News – and me in particular – to host a “Work and Meet” area which will effectively be the UK presence at next April’s trade fair, in celebration of LJN’s 15th birthday.
A WORK & MEET AREA HOSTED BY LONDON JAZZ NEWS
Stand number 6A46
To celebrate the 15th anniversary of our partners at London Jazz News, „one of the most prestigious jazz magazines in the world“, their editor in chief Sebastian Scotney will host a Work & Meet area within the conference hall at jazzahead! 2024, to present participants and players from the United Kingdom‘s exciting Jazz scene.
Register now as a co-exhibitor for the rate of 185€ + 19% VAT! (LINK UPDATED 29 OCT)
jazzahead! is the world jazz industry’s biggest gathering. Whether officially represented or just going there as guests, I always have the impression in Bremen that “EVERYONE IS HERE.”
Our purpose on this occasion is, at jazzahead!’s request, to assist UK-domiciled participants so they can have a base on the trade fair floor from which to work, and thereby play a vital role in helping to promote jazz from the UK.
The way to be part of this endeavour is to become a co-exhibitor and join us at stand 6A46. Please contact us with any questions – we will be developing the offer further in the coming weeks.
How to apply:
- Go to the co-exhibitor registration form and register as a co-exhibitor for jazzahead! 2024 for the rate of 185 € + 19% VAT for all three days.
- The stand number of WORK & MEET hosted by London Jazz News is 6A46 / the contact is Sebastian Scotney.

What is Jazzhead and where is it located, is it a trade fiar for Jazz Labels?
It is in Bremen in Northern Germany. All facets of the jazz “industry” are well represented, yes including labels.
I promote jazz bands in London, and being a South African I many links with brilliant jazz musos in that country. Just wondering if there are booking agents and promoters in Germany that I could collaborate with in bringing these artists over on a tour of Europe and UK.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Many thanks
