At this time of year please forgive me a bit of nostalgia. On Saturday 10 January 2009, I wrote the very first article for this site. It was a preview of the 2009 Ian Shaw residency at Pizza Express Dean Street (LINK).

And now, thirteen years and nearly 11,000 articles later, here is a quick preview of this year’s jamboree. The residency opens a year which will contain a significant birthday for the St Asaph-born diamond…in June.

He has a fabulous array of guests for the fourteen gigs over nine days at the Pizza. The booking link with full details such as a description of each programme is at the bottom of this piece.
