The five finalists will be working with a house band consisting of:

James Davison (Trumpet/MD)

Steve Brown (drums)

There are changes to the selection process for this new competition. In the past the winner was decided mainly by an audience vote. This year there will still be an audience prize, but the award of the main prize will be determined by a jury of Elaine Delmar and Liane Carroll.

The last vocalists competition was held in 2019. The winner was Sahra Gure, and the other finalists were Ellie Bignall, Luca Manning, Liselotte Östblom and Jessica Radcliffe. The previous vocalist winner was Emma Smith in 2013.
