‘EFG London Jazz Festival announces first wave of acts’

Serious / EFG London Jazz Festival is announcing today the first wave of artists for its 30th festival. These include:

  • Abdullah Ibrahim at the Barbican
  • Melody Gardot and Jan Garbarek Group – both on different nights at the Royal Festival Hall
  • Dianne Reeves at Cadogan Hall
  • Edmar Castaneda & Gregoire Maret (harp/harmonica duo) at Wigmore Hall.

EFG London Jazz Festival announces First Wave of Acts For 30th Birthday
Over 300 Shows Across Multiple London Venues, 11-20 November 2022

EFG London Jazz Festival is celebrating its 30th birthday in 2022, once again cherishing the freedom, innovation and dialogue jazz invigorates. In its previous 29 years, EFG London Jazz Festival has established itself as the biggest pan-city Festival in Europe and the highlight of the jazz calendar in the UK, with over 300 shows, more than 70 venues drawing over 100,000 in live audiences.

The 30th Birthday programme brings leading artists from around the world and the UK to the capital in November for 10 days of live and digital performances, special collaborations, fresh discoveries, and exclusive new commissions.

EFG London Jazz Festival is a place to explore music and to celebrate the legacy and the future of an inspiring musical universe. In its 30th edition the festival will be a journey of musical strands focusing on Icons of music, Homegrown talent, cross cultural collaborations and new creations and music which traverse Beyond Margins. Memorable moments will include the iconic opening gala Jazz Voice and the festival will continue reaching global audiences with a digital programme to be announced later.” ENDS
