The EFG London Jazz Festival puts out four monthly press releases each summer, and the second one went out on Wednesday 4 June. The list below gives all the shows so far announced; they will all be on sale from the festival website and from the venues from today 6 June.
Our lead picture is of the remarkable Hermeto Pascoal, 89 years young on 22 June.. who still – happily – wants to tour! His concert has been announced in the latest batch.
It has also been announced that the Aga Khan Music Awards will be part of the 2025 Festival, taking place on the final four days but with no further detail yet.
Kings Place, which has been promoting jazz since the first week it opened in 2008, is so far absent from the EFG LJF listings.
Soweto Kinch’s concert with the LSO performing the final part of his trilogy will happen during the festival but does not appear to be part of it
Two days after the end of the festival, Alfa Mist headlines in the Royal Albert Hall.
